My Resume

Derek Bachelor Gourlay
I am a Software Engineer that thrives at the boundary between technology, business requirements, and the physical world. I enjoy working on systems and tangible products customers directly interact with.

I do not shy away from wearing the hat of both a developer and TPM as project requirements dictate and enjoy the opportunity to work closely with customers and project stake holders whenever possible.

As an experienced full-stack developer, I have had the opportunity to work on large, scalable, and highly performant distributed systems. This includes working with a multitude of web-application and service deffinition frameworks, the full range of AWS product offerings, and multiple programming languages (java, scala, ruby, javascript, html, etc.)

I am passionate about technology, and enjoy working in a role that allows me to 'get out into the field' and collect buisness requirements, design and implement systems that benefit customers, and have a direct impact on the bottom-line of a company.
